As companies use cloud technologies to transform at a rapid pace, many recognize that their organization needs cloud knowledge to achieve their goals. But research shows that 90 percent of IT decision makers report a lack of cloud skills in their workforce (Global Knowledge, IT Skills Report and Salaries 2018, 2018). There is a huge demand for cloud architecture professionals familiar with how they can design, design, develop, migrate and operate cloud applications.
Early
in my career at Amazon Web Services (AWS), I was one of the first cloud
solutions architects for the company (and the industry). Cloud usage has
increased significantly since then, as has the number of services and features
available to cloud developers. I now lead certification and education programs
in which we offer training and skills testing to individuals and organizations
to implement cloud initiatives with confidence. The role of cloud architect is
in high demand and will continue to provide endless opportunities for business
innovation and growth.
What
are the key skills required to become a successful cloud architect? Read on to
find out about the key skills employers are looking for, and professionals can

potential.
