Outdoor
landscape design, including infrastructure, the public sphere, agriculture and
forestry is essential to building the networks that connect our urban and rural
places, but also, and perhaps more importantly, it is essential to address
globalization and climate change. Landscape architects are involved in
rainwater management, environmental regeneration and recreation areas, among

As
a result of a rapidly growing percentage of our population moving to urban
areas, urban conditions are always in a state of change. The dynamic state of
the city environment makes it an exciting journey to take as an architect,
covering everything from economic and demographic change, to sustainable
development. It is an essential role within our role, but a challenging one; it
requires flexibility and large-scale problem solving.
