associate degree in engineering technology is a good fit for this profession.
Programs that explore both engineering and electronics provide a strong
technical background that focuses on practical skills. Courses can include
microprocessors, C ++ programming, and physics. Some employers offer training
programs for high school graduates, and for some jobs, a vocational
qualification is sufficient.
Some
jobs may require a bachelor's degree in engineering or engineering technology.
While there are several engineering degree programs available, mechanical
engineering majors offer the widest range of training. Course work may include
computer-aided drawing (CAD) software, as well as classes in mathematics,
physics, mechanics, and chemistry. Some programs allow students to choose a
major, such as aerospace or petroleum engineering.
