Almost all Avaya credentials are valid for two years. To maintain a credential, recertification requirements must be met before the credential expires, which typically means passing current online tests or proctored exams.

Avaya uses both online tests and proctored exams. Online tests are delivered through the Avaya Learning Center; they are free for sales credentials and cost $ 90 USD for service credentials. Proctored exams for service certifications cost $ 125 USD and are available through Pearson VUE.

 

Note: Just a caveat that Avaya uses the term "credential" for some designations and "certification" for others. The company also uses some acronyms that cover different sets of certifications. We try to stick to Avaya's nomenclature as much as possible and to highlight warnings on acronyms where justified.
